About the product

For those who have outgrown a standard stove. Cadabros XL is one and a half times the size of the One. The 204 × 204 mm chamber takes thick logs, and the wide hotplate carries a large cauldron, a pot of several litres or a cast-iron pan for the whole group.

What sets it apart

204 × 204 mm combustion chamber. Longer and thicker wood, longer burn time, steadier heat.
4 mm hotplate included. Secure support for heavy cookware.
14 laser-cut parts of 3 mm steel. Assembles without screws or tools in under a minute and packs flat for the car boot.
Clean rocket combustion. A strong draught directs the flame under the pot, so you use little wood and there is little smoke.
Finish. Heat-resistant paint in matt black, rated to 900°C, and steel carrying handles.

Where it belongs

Cooking for a larger group at the allotment, in the garden and on road trips, at outdoor events, and as a solid, off-grid source of heat. For outdoor use only.

Can you use a stove in an enclosed space?

No, the stove is for outdoor use only.

Does the oven run on pellets?

This model is designed for burning wood. If you would like to burn pellets, see our pellet torch.

How to store the Cadabros rocket stove?

Once cooled, it is best to clean the stove of ash and soot and then store it in a dry, well-ventilated place.
If you keep it outdoors, avoid direct contact with moisture and rain.

Is the oven smoking?

Very little. The parts fit together precisely, with no unnecessary gaps, and the strong draught makes combustion clean and efficient. What comes out of the chamber is mainly flame, not smoke.

Is the oven reusable?

Yes. The Cadabros stove is designed for years of use.
Made from laser-cut 3 mm steel, it resists high temperatures and deformation.
It can be assembled and taken apart hundreds of times without loosening or losing stability.

How quickly can I boil water on a Cadabros stove?

Thanks to its rocket stove design, the stove reaches very high temperatures quickly, and a strong draught directs the flame straight under the pot.

In practice, 1 litre of water boils in a few minutes, though this depends on the type of wood, wind, ambient temperature and the pot.
